Join us for up to 4 hours of after-school STEAM fun on Tuesdays, May 16-June 6, 2023, in the Fellowship Hall at Prince of Peace Church in Crofton! Kids in grades K-5 can participate in one or more of the following classes:

• 3-3:50 pm – Minecraft Club – Kids will work on individual and group builds in Minecraft. We will have laptops for kids who wish to play Minecraft: Java Edition. Or kids can bring their tablets to play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. We will have private Realms for both editions, but please note that the two editions cannot play on the same Realm together. So kids using Java will be in one Realm, and kids using Bedrock will be in another.
• 4-4:50 pm – Coder Kids Club – Depending on reading ability, kids will learn how to code in either CodeSpark (coding fundamentals, usually for grades K-2) or Code Kingdoms (Java and Lua, usually for grades 3+). If your child is in grade 1 or 2 and wants to try Code Kingdoms, we will help them attempt the first mod in that curriculum, but they might need to spend the rest of the sessions using CodeSpark. • 5-5:50 pm – Roblox Club – Let’s play Roblox! We will encourage kids to join private servers to play with the instructors for group games like Adopt Me, Natural Disaster Survival, and more. Your child will need to bring their Roblox account information to participate. If their account has parental controls, please be available to allow login during the first few minutes of class. Kids can bring their own devices, or they can use our laptops.
• 6-6:50 pm – Stop-Motion Animation – Learn how to plan and create stop-motion animations. Kids can use toys, everyday objects, and even people to create animations. They will learn to add titles, music, sound effects, and voiceovers to their animations.

You must register in advance for each club. Your child’s ticket can only be used for the clubs and weeks registered. Unlike our previous clubs, some of these build on lessons each week, so we encourage your child to attend every session, and we do not offer make-up sessions.
