Robotics Club – Wednesday Homeschool
November 27 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Wednesday, repeating until December 18, 2019
Learn to code by programming robots. Kids will have access to many of our programmable robots, including Botley, Dash & Dot, Cue, Ozobo Evo & Bit, LEGO WeDo, LEGO Mindstorms. They will work through fun activities and challenges, to learn how to get their robots to do all kinds of cool stuff.
This club is appropriate for kids in grades K-8. We will give the kids age-appropriate activities to work on during each session of the club. If you have a younger child who might be interested in robots, check out our Preschool Robotics Club.
Kids who want to take their problem solving and programming skills to the next level can join or start a competition team (additional fees may apply) in the fall. Competition teams can meet during the club time, but might need additional time for practice, which will be arranged when the team forms. Some teams require additional fees, and some require quite a bit of parent participation. Let us know if your child is interested. If your child joins outside of competition season, but is interested in joining a team for the next season, we can give him or her the challenges from the previous year to work on, and prepare.
