Modding Roblox with Lua (Grades 3-8)
March 31 @ 6:40 pm - 7:40 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:40 pm on Tuesday, repeating until May 5, 2020
Kids in grades 3-8 can learn how to use Lua to create their own Roblox obbys. An experienced programmer will walk kids through setting up their development environment, using the code editor, and a basic obby example. Kids usually have time to work through 1-2 additional games after they complete the first one.
Previous programming experience is helpful, but not required. This class is a great follow-up to older kids who already know Scratch or who took our Introduction to Programming (K-5) class. If you have a younger child who would like to attend this class, please contact us prior to registering them.
This class meets Tuesdays, 6:40-7:40pm, March 31-May 5. Students who are members of Coder Kids Club may attend this class after their club meeting for 50% off, or they can attend instead of their regular club meeting at no extra cost. Let Miss Chrissy know if you would like to take advantage of either option.
After kids attend this class, we do recommend signing up for the Coder Kids Club (Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm), so they can continue to practice working on their coding skills.
Important: Your child must have a Roblox for this class. We cannot make accounts for kids. If your child doesn’t have an account, you must create one prior to the first session of class, and provide your child with the login info.
