Let’s learn to code! This class meets for 1 hour, on Thursdays, for 6 weeks, September 15-October 27 (no class October 20). Kids will learn basic programming concepts such as:

• Algorithms
• Sequences
• Repetition (Loops)
• Events
• Conditional Logic
• Debugging

We will use both online and offline methods to teach the concepts, so children won’t spend the whole time poking away at a computer. Our computer-based activities are based on Scratch, which you can use at home, for free.

This course is geared towards children in grades 3-6, who are very comfortable reading and using a computer. Typing/writing skills are very helpful, but not required, because Scratch is mostly drag-and-drop. We also have a class for K-2 kids running at the same time!
