Let’s learn to code! This class meets at All-Sport Kids Academy (API) for 1 hour, 6-7pm, on Thursdays, for 6 weeks, September 14-October 26 (no class October 19). Kids will learn basic programming concepts such as:

• Algorithms
• Sequences
• Repetition (Loops)
• Events
• Conditional Logic
• Debugging

We will use both online and offline methods to teach the concepts, so children won’t spend the whole time poking away at a computer. Our computer-based activities are based on Scratch, which you can use at home, for free.

This course is geared towards children in grades 2-6, who are very comfortable reading and using a computer. Typing/writing skills are very helpful, but not required, because Scratch is mostly drag-and-drop.
