Gamer Club – June 27-July 1, 2022
June 27 @ 9:00 am - July 1 @ 4:00 pm$40.00 – $339.00
This camp is for gamers, and we will spend the whole week playing games. We will spend a max of 3 hours per day with electronics (computers, consoles, and tablets), and the rest of the time we will play with tabletop games. Kids will also have craft activities available if they wish to partake. This is a gaming camp. Kids will spend the whole day playing games. Many of the games are actually educational, and we do offer challenges for the kids, but some of them will just be having fun! We offer other camps where kids can learn how to make their own games, but they will just be playing them in this camp.
For electronic gaming, we have:
- Gaming laptops with Minecraft and Roblox
- Nintendo Switches with a variety of games
- Xboxes with a variety of games
- iPads and Kindles with a variety of games
Kids can also bring their own devices, but may only use them during electronics time for their group. When they are in tabletop mode, during snacks, and during lunch, they must leave their electronic devices in their cubbies.
If your child wants to play a specific game, let us know, and we might be able to accommodate as long as it’s rated T for Teen or lower.
We have an online option for this camp (approximately 3 hours per day).
This camp is for kids who were in grades K through 8 during the 2021-22 school year. If your child was in Pre-K for the school year, contact us to schedule an evaluation meeting before you register. For this camp, we split kids up by age but might move them around if we have room.
During this camp, kids can use game accounts on computers and tablets. We cannot create accounts for your kids. Kids should have their login information memorized and written down for reference. These are not required, but if your child wants to play one of these games, they will need their login information. Need to create an account?
- Minecraft Java Edition (requires the purchase of Minecraft: Java Edition): https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition
- Minecraft Bedrock Edition (requires the purchase of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on a supported device): https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-windows10
- Roblox (free): https://www.roblox.com/
We recommend turning off two-factor authentication, otherwise, we’ll be calling you for login codes!! For Minecraft accounts, please make sure your child’s account is able to access multi-player servers.
For students participating online, we suggest having a computer with Minecraft (Java edition) and/or Roblox, so they can participate with the other kids.
