DSLR Camera Crash Course for Adults – Spring 2018
February 16, 2018 @ 6:15 pm - 8:45 pm$60.00
We are in the process of rescheduling this event for a future date. We’ll let you know when we will have it ASAP!
This event is for adults.
Did you receive a big, fancy camera for the holidays, but still haven’t figured out how to operate it? Do you envision yourself taking photographs of your kiddos, using light and angles to create your very own DIY artwork, only to find out that you are stuck on Running Dude and the Big Haired Lady? Or, better yet, “P”?
Megan Martineau, owner and operator of Honey Bee Photography, can demystify the settings on your DSLR. She will help you deconstruct your camera and figure out how each component works. You will learn what ISO means, how your aperture and shutter speed work together, and how metering will change the outcome of your final photograph. We’ll also discuss what white balance really means, and which auto-focus you should use. At the end of the class, you’ll be able to start practice, using your camera in manual mode.
If you have a kid who might enjoy our Game Lab Open Play during this time, you’ll automatically get a 10% discount for that when you register for this workshop. This class ends at 8:45, so you’ll have some time to relax in our semi-soundproofed parent’s lounge until Open Play is done at 9.
You may BYOB, but please remember that we’ll have kids here, so keep it responsible and discreet. We will provide some light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
Important: This is a special co-hosted event. Our usual discounts do not apply, and vouchers and/or coupons can not be used for this class.
