Dash and Dot are two of our robotic friends! They help us teach kids how to code, by allowing kids to tell them what to do. Dash is a mobile robot, and while Dot “just sits there,” she’s very funny and interactive. Kids absolutely love playing with these adorable robots, and often list their time with Dash and Dot as one of their favorite things to do with Coder Kids Club.

We can offer interactions with Dash and Dot at events, and often use them in our introductory programming classes. Dash and Dot are also the main attractions in our Wonder League Robotics Club, which is a 25-week enrichment program that we offer at local schools.
Want to have this activity at your event?
This is what you'll need to host this activity:
- Plenty of floor space. Dot just “sits,” but Dash is very mobile, and needs lots of room. We recommend having at least 5’x5′ for each Dash robot. We have 20 sets of these robots, so if you want us to bring all of them, plan on having a lot of space. The space must be indoors, and the floor has to be clean and dry.
- 1+ Coder Kids Club staff or trained event staff/volunteers to set up, monitor, and assist. We need someone to make sure kids can get into the apps that control the robots, and can properly pair the robots with the tablets.
- Electricity is important for long events. Dash can last about 90 minutes on a full charge, so if the event is longer than that, we’ll need to bring backup sets to use while the depleted robots charge.
