The Hour of Code is coming soon! December 7-13, 2015, your school can participate in Computer Science Education week, by having every child do one hour of code. It’s fun, easy, and the it can help inspire kids to learn more about computer science and coding. Plus every public, US K-12 school that officially signs up to participate is eligible to win $10,000 of technology.
If you’d love to get your school involved, but just don’t know where to begin, we can help (for free!). The Coder Kids Club can provide assistance with any of the following to up to 5 local schools (within a 10 mile radius of Crofton, MD) that are, or plan to be, officially registered to participate in the Hour of Code:
- Hour of Code sign-up and setup, including creating the required logistics plan
- Professional development, to teach educators and volunteers some basic programming concepts, and guidance for teaching the provided tutorials
- A fun assembly, to get the kids excited about coding
